I once was a teenager myself,
and yes I also kept a blade on my shelf,
but one day I realized as time passed,
this type of agony just can't last..
one day I'll grow up and become a mother,
then 1 year later I'll have her brother,
I realize soon they'll grow up,
then they'll ask me why did I cut?
they'll see the scars upon my arms,
and ask me why I did such harm..
my answer won't be fully true,
cause how can I just say it while looking at you?
all I know is I can change the cycle,
along with the help from my husband Michael.
because theres always a brighter side,
place don't sit back and hide..
if you know your someone who cuts yourself,
gain the power to break that shelf!
throw away that blade and don't look back,
think of it as a video game where your ready to attack..
conqour your fears,
and dry them tears...
fight for your power you always had,
stand strong and never be sad ..
know that your beautiful inside and out..
don't ever let yourself fill back up with doubt..
the lessons in life are meant to be challenged,
but you just gotta keep yours balanced.
don't let anyone bring you down,
if they do get up and then it around..
when people try to tear you apart,
it's cause they have issues inside there own heart..
