I knew poetry is my only escape
but I drifted away from it and that was my biggest mistake
it's been a long time since I've published
I made myself believe that my love for writing has vanished
but as I type this poem of regret
I promise myself never ever to forget
that poetry is my remedy even when I'm hurt
when there is nothing to turn to infact
