Poetic devices;
The agents of poetry, poets use
To the soup of poetry, they are the spices
The tree of poetry they are the roots
Metaphor makes us creators of images for the eye of the mind
With metaphor, we create images in lines
Personification shows up when we want to give life to the lifeless
We make things breathe nose-less
When we want to compare two or more things simile smiles
Comparing things creates beauty in our lines
Pun is always for us to play on words
With Pun, we give different meanings to a single word
We turn to Hyperbole to exaggerate things
Little things in the mind become big
Synecdoche for a part to represents a whole
Save us from pointing out the whole
Euphemism is for us to take up pleasant over hash terms
With euphemism, unpleasant terms can cause no harm
We express the opposite ironically
With irony, our impressions lie on the contrary
Paradox delivers contradicting expressions
Readers to find the truth only with deeper consideration
For the repetition of consonant sounds we recruit Alliteration
To emphasize ideas we employ repetition
We bank on satire to naked societal infection
Antithesis comes up with a striking opposition
