Poetry Flows From Pain

When you cut my skin, poetry will flow
As crimson drops spill out and begin to glow
Each one a story, a memory, a thought
A life that's been lived, a battle that's been fought
The pain I feel is not just physical
It's the emotion that runs deep, almost spiritual
It's the love that was lost, the dreams that were shattered
The hopes that were dashed, the friendships that mattered
But from this pain, something beautiful can arise
The words that pour out, like a bird taking flight
The ink that stains the page, like a work of art
The verses that touch souls, like a beating heart
So cut me open if you must, let the blood flow
For in the end, it's the poetry that I'll show
A reminder that life is complex, and can be tough
But beauty can still be found, even in the rough.
