POETRY IS OUR NATURE

Long before the birth of time,
And even before the so called dime,
When it was no little crime,
To take a breadth without rhyme,
We were here in our stillness and prime.

Our words, though never printed are indelible
Our thoughts expressed on scrolls, proved tenable.

We saw the past speak to the presence about the future.

A future of freedom and of adventure,
Adventure of the known and unknown,
Expressed through the words of Bards.

Words of bleak and of hope,
Words immune to change and time,
Words that made us who we are;
Unapologetically Poetic
