Yesterday I chatted with a poet
Who was from the great land of "C"
Then I chatted with another
Who was, so to speak, down the road from me...
I care not where a poet is from
As long as their poetry I can understand
It would be great to have a translator
Yes, a translator would be mighty grand...
We write about what we love
We write about what's upsetting
When anger over wrongs best us
It's our safety valve, our way of venting,
We've talked about God, About Jesus
The things in the world that don't please us
I've seen poets come, I've seen poets go
I've seen poets melt away like winters snow...
When I read the poetry of another
Positive commenting is what I do well
It's, for the last six years, the way I've been
I'll join you in your happy place, or your hell
I've been there with several, time and time again...
As you expand your base of followers
As you expand your base of followings
Keep in mind sharing your love of poetry
Not can be but is, A truly wonderful thing...
