Amidst the ink and paper,
A poet's life takes shape,
Words are woven into art,
With every verse they create.
Their heart beats in meter,
And rhymes dance in their mind,
A symphony of passion,
That no one else can find.
In solitude they find solace,
And inspiration takes flight,
The moon and stars are witness,
To their nocturnal write.
For the world is their canvas,
And love is their palette,
With each stroke of their pen,
Their emotions they do set.
From sonnets to haikus,
Their feelings they do pour,
A masterpiece in every line,
A love that can't be ignored.
So let us raise a glass,
To the poet's way of life,
For they bring love and beauty,
To our often mundane strife.
