A poet's write is their right,
To capture their thoughts in words so bright,
And paint a picture with lines so tight,
That even the darkest of souls take flight.
It's a way to express,
A heart so full of tenderness,
Or to release stress and address,
Issues that weigh on us with distress.
With each word, we take flight,
Soaring high with all our might,
Breaking free from chains so tight,
And basking in the freedom of our write.
Let us write and let us be,
Our words are our destiny,
And no one can take that from you or me,
For a poet's write is their right, for eternity.
