Am no longer your pawn and slave.
Enough of the blows,
Am fed up with your ways and games.
You made me believe in peace.
While you beared the sword and the shield.
Lost in connubial bliss,
While you were preying me with your stupid tricks.
I scratched your back, while you whipped mine.
I showered your heart with love, while you shattered mine.
I gifted you a smile, while you gave me pain in return.
And did I ever complain?? now I know how stupid I was, overlooking those lies.
Not every disagreement is sorted under the sheets.
Not every disappoinment is neutralized with a kiss.
Not every plant was meant to yield,
The same way, not every love was meant to be.
