T

Pots and Kettles

You looked at my toes
At the holes I need to mend
Your laughter at me crows
The man in me to rend
You made a joke of it
And you called me lazy
I bowed to honour your wit
I guess my vision is hazy
I always stuff my holes
I fill them up with sand
It weighs down my goals
Eating into the last strand
But why are your soles flat
And your toecaps warped
Did you burn it with your fat
Or were they just swapped
It is easy to point fingers
When you're not in my shoe
But the memory clearly lingers
Sticking close like glue
