Lord, I have music skills,
A melody yet to be achieved.
But before my departure,
Before all things fade away,
Let me fulfill this dream—
Let me reach it before that day.
You have blessed me with the gift of writing,
In movies, plays, poems, and stories untold.
But before the final hour,
I long to pour out this dream,
To let the world know—
To show them I achieved it with unwavering belief.
You’ve given me the gift to teach and preach the gospel;
Let me not squander this treasure for which the Savior died.
Before my departure, may it be known—I’ve fought the good fight,
I have finished the race and kept the faith, reaching the greatest height.
The grave is a realm of regrets, so before I depart, Lord,
Let me pour out all that You’ve given me,
That the whole world may know—
I was Your precious gem,
A messenger who walked among them.
Oh Lord, I beg Thee, let me accomplish my unfinished dreams—
This I pray.
