Prelude to Humanity

I gaze upon the distant trees
as cold wind blows her gentle breath,
they stand erect yet dance with ease
but dare not speak for fear of death.
Then along came man with his twisted morality, and weapons of steel shaped as crooked teeth of a beast.
He acts with haste to scar this earth, such insanity, the mechanical slaughter of once proud giants deceased.
Now this lost peaceful landscape has no choice but to wonder,
in silent thought how man brought all his putrescent demons.
To shred beauty so readily, impetuously torn asunder,
with not regret nor remorse only his self serving reasons.
