A

Pretty Pollinator I.

What are fires whispering to moths
That instructs them to flee their goths?
What’s whispered during its larvae days
Inciting it to change its ways
What can glucose whisper to flies
making them ignore their compound eyes?
How does the mistress mantis
Whisper her mister’s demise?
And for the hummingbird,
What words are whispered by
the hibiscus?
Could I ever be as candid
As an arachnid
Or the orchid
And let my silken subtle cry
Or the web within my eyes
Ensnare the beauties that out-lie
Or can I learn to play prey
To the way, cease my aimless
Contrives’
    Because where I stand
And where I try
The pretty pollinators,
that quickly catch my eye
simply aren’t aroused by
Vocal- fry
So perhaps I should learn to whisper
