landed on my toe
this afternoon.
It made me think
of how much
you love dragonflies.
But also how
we haven't talked
in a while.

I am sure
that it will
make you smile.
The dragonfly
has a clef body
with tablature wings.
The notes on the wings
are played in a favorite
song of yours.

The space
is quite large
so I also added more.
Two catholic crosses
on each flank represent
your two surviving sisters.
So now you are able
to bring them all
with you as you travel.
Now I am thinking
about the dragonfly
this afternoon.
I imagine
it was you
saying hello.
But now
I want to cry
again.
I never
got the chance
to say goodbye.
You
killed
yourself.
I still wish
I could
have done more.
All I have left
is your rose headstone
engraved with a dragonfly.
