My integrity, it has its worth,
The thing they can't take from me,
It's more than too much gold from the earth,
It's a security.
Though my values may be despised,
By those who think they know so well,
My conscience I'll never compromise,
And this I'll never sell.
The hatred I sometimes face,
Vitriol cast in my direction,
But I'm not going to change my pace,
And my own sense of protection.
No physical items can compare,
To the sight of my internal core,
To anyone who doesn't care,
It is different than any store.
My integrity will stand tall,
Through hopeless moments and thin,
And no one can take away this drawl,
As I take pride in standing within.
