Prodigal Child

Oftentimes we feel discouraged
The journey seems to us but endless
So we are tempted to linger
Linger far behind we drift
You see, I had the form
But denied the very power
My dress code was modest
The lifestyle unique
But there was something missing
Missing from deep within
All that made me feel lukewarm
Then he softly whispered, " I'll spill you out of my mouth".
No! My voice echoed afar
I can't be a foolish bride
It was then I caught the revelation
My lamp need to be trimmed
The oil I had to get.
So I hurried to the storehouse
Oh! How foolish I have been
Many precious years I've wasted
But Satan had had enough
Because I recognized my pardon
And it was that moment I was saved.
