RIP
Moma sheila
you are tremendously missed
You was my
mentor
Spiritural teacher
My second mother
Threw lovingly adoption
My one true best friend
That wanted nothing
from me in return
For your blessings
You were my encouragement
Inspiration
Uplifting motivation
You believed in me
When no one else did
Accepted and welcomed me
During my abandonment
You never judged me
And was always there for me
You taught me about God
Prayed for me
And showed me
The importance about faith
Inspired me to no longer
Use the Lords name in vein
you always knew when I was hurting
you could see it
on my face
you always had
All the right word's to say
And when I was a mess
you never judged me
Instead you welcomed
And accepted me
Never pressuring
me to change
You Only loved me
unconditionally.
I remember all the good times
All the Smiles and laughter.
And I also remember
When I was suicidal
You always talked me down
Made me feel loved
And gave me reasons
To continue on
We could talk for hours and hours
Never noticing
the time passing
Untill the sun came up
You broke me out of my shell
Made me feel safe
Always told me
you loved me
and to please be safe.
I watched as your health
went down hill
Hating the quack docter
That slowly killed you with pills
He got you addicted
You were severely
over medicated
Then the day came
When I felt it in my bones
You walked me out to my car
And asked me for prayer
In that moment I was
Overwhelmed with fear
It was out of the norm
For you to asked for prayer
And you repeated that request
Multiple times
And when I finally
Looked you in the eyes
They were glazed over
I immediately interceded
With a salvation prayer
It's like we both knew
Your time on earth
Was almost over
And as I drove away
I was inflicted
with worrie and fear
three days later
I tried to contact you
Only to hear
That you was no longer here
I was outraged
with pain and hate
Denying that your time had run out
The poor messenger got cussed out
I went into shock
And couldn't feel anything
For quite sometime
Not even
one tear dropped from my eyes
Untill I was Invited to your funeral
And saw for myself
That you were truthfully dead
Your body was so cold
Laying inside that coffin
Reality hit me sooo hard
I couldn't believe
That I acturally had lost
my only true friend
you were family to me
and seeing you deceased
was way to much for me
I broke down
Hit insanity
Was suicidal and pissed
So I began slicing my wrist
I questioned God
How could you do this?
She was such a good person
My second mother
My bestfriend.
It took a shit load of time
To force her death
Into the back of my mind
It's been a few years now
And I still miss
and love her the same
But I'm thankful to God
She is no longer in pain
And she is safe and happy
In a much better place
I can still see the worrie
upon her face
And her eyes glazed over
As she begged me
To pray
I miss her dearly
Nightly and Daily
Triggers remind me
Of how she was there for me
Videos play in my minds eye
I can see her so clearly
Like photo a graphic memory.
I still continue to keep my
PROMISE
She asked me to keep.
She said never give up
on your poetry ministry baby
As she smiled at me
So proudly
She knew I was different
She knew I had a calling
And that it was only
A matter of time
Untill I surrendered
And got my life right
I'll never be perfect
But I'll never give up
I'll keep on trying my hardest
And I will always keep my
PROMISE
