There's a string of promises
Stuck at the tip of my tongue
Eager to escape from my lips
But I'm afraid it might spoil the fun.
I've been wondering how
Should I adorn each strand
To make them striking enough
In case they roll out of my mouth
And shatter into trivial pieces,
I can't even seize.
Should I stitch them
In stunning threads of metaphors
Painted in gorgeous lies?
Or simply draft them
In candid black and white
To mirror the genuine shades
Of what's inside my heart.
Would it make a difference
If I stamp them with a moonlight's kiss
With the seal of forever
Uttered as a midnight wish?
Would it make a difference
If I keep them in pretty canisters or
Should I make a blood compact with the devil
And tattoo these vows on my lips?
