God I know that you love me
Your Holy Word tells me so
You give to me more sweet love
Than I thought I'd ever know,
Dear God You so loved the worl'
You gave Your only begotten Son
With so much You did this
Should be overlooked by none.
Jesus was sent to save the worl'
To give us life everlastin'
That with love He shed His blood
Should not be thought of in passin',
God I know that you love me
That I shoukd never dispair
When I read Your Holy Word
The proofs waiting for me there.
Just like that big brass ring
On a Merry-go-roun'
Our ride to Heaven is free
When we return to sacred groun'.
