That have galvanised the masses
Done away with distraction
To result in decisive action
But we still need to see
That Attentiveness is key
As at times
Cadence is used to deceive
As in between

And Ich bin ein Berlin
Mission statements juxtaposed
As leaders grey the line between friend and foe
Now however
Impassioned speech is a societal norm
As the words of our predecessors still live on
