Hey, how do you do?
What's your name? Or, have I already met you?
I'm sorry, this isn't how I wanted this to go. I just can't love a person I don't seem to know.
When I look at you, I wish my heart would beat quicker. But, I am racing, and I keep forgetting not to come in last.
I'm told you were my past. My ticket home. I'm told it happened fast. I left you alone. They say I needed you like you needed me, we lived in perfect harmony. We lived- I'm sure we did.
The telling of the story is only a fraction. It's not a memory if it doesn't have the action.
What have I ever done?
You can split me open to find peace. But, I don't think you'll find your piece of me. Can't we sit down, try to remember-
That one windy December long ago...
I'm told you were my past. My ticket home. I'm told it happened fast, and I left you alone. They say I wanted you like you wanted me, that we lived in perfect harmony. We lived- We did.
It's like I'm buried underground, scratching the walls, I can't touch the ceiling at all. If I could reach something... Could I be worth it to you?
Hey, how do you do?
