I raced with a cheetah once
he said
"if you win you go free"
"but if I win you'll become my dinner"
I stupidly agreed
so we raced
the cheetah gained a lead that he would keep
and my legs only grew weaker
I prayed
oh I saw that cheetah
resting on a rock long before I got there
why didn't I run the other way
I was ready to except my fate though
"you surprise me"
the cheetah rumbled
"though you have not won this race you have won"
I was confused
"how?"
"yes your legs may not have carried you far but your will carried you forever"
