Rags to Riches

Sitting behind the side walk begging
Barely any money, I was getting
My clothing was, basically rags
The plate I ate out of, was plastic bags
Really did smell
Wasn't easy staying well
Never had good hygiene
Never in a good way seen
Certain people, that laughed at me, were friends
Suffering, felt like, it never ends
Want my life to rearrange
Want a change
One day
I didn't, have my way
To my state,a visitor
Who was a minister
I really showed him bad behaviour
But to my surprise, he told me about our Saviour
That he died, to take many people out of poverty
So they can have, heavenly prosperity
For my life their is so much more
And their is alot for me,God has in store
I am more special than I think
And before he walked away, gave me a wink
Have to admit, the wink to me was odd
But he got me thinking about God
Just two days later out of desperation
For a change,I stopped just relying on my imagination
I started to pray
And I did say
Jesus if your real
Make with me, a deal
If you stop me, from being poor
I promise, I will go for what, you have for me in store
Now I'm in every way wealthy
And healthy
Because my blessing I didn't miss
Just because I kept my promise
