Let’s read from the scriptures of a lover’s misfortune
Once a dark cloud stood above at nine
When loneliness couldn’t find comfort but with wine
A lover and a seeker crossed paths at dine
Not too sure
Yet their feeling was pure
Intoxicating emotions overly displayed without cure
Knowing the road is but full of thorns yet they were ready to endure
An unexpected journey began
In the night when all was calm and quiet
Breaking odds to be even with love
Hugging tight to an ephemeral bliss that will not meet dawn
For their goodbyes were more than their welcomes
Who cares when their hearts only want to dare
Deep in the ocean of love they delve
With freezing warmth that only cuddles the heart but cannot move the skin
A wife by wish
A lover in heart
They lived by chance
Waiting for their painful rain to cease
So they may relish once more in their Rainbow love
