"Oh mother!", cried little Steve,
"It's raining on Christmas eve."
"The street is going to be wet,
and thunder would sound over my clarinet,
and over the whiff of Christmas delicacy,
the smell of rain would command supremacy,
and instead of going out and exchanging pleasantries,
we would be stuck beneath our own trees."
His mother smiled at his soliloquy,
and beamed at the apple of her eye,
"All that you said is all very true,
yet not enough to make us blue,
for you have been looking at the world from just one side,
so let's keep all that you have said aside and look outside,
adorned with the reflecting raindrops, every tree,
glitters like an arduosly decorated Christmas tree,
and those who hadn't a penny to clean their abode,
now on their clean porches gallantly strode,
for the raindrops wash away all the dirt,
all the unpleasant memories, the pain, the hurt,
and with this the seeds of new year they sow,
while proudly presenting the rainbow,
and teaching us one last lesson today,
as long as we change the way
we look at things that make us despondent,
every single day is that of merriment,
the world 🌎 remains thus-and-thus,
yet we much celebrate out Christmas 🎄.
