I

Reading

You open a book
While you sit in a chair
Pull up your blanket,
adjust it with care
You snuggle down quickly
All ready to read
About Jack and Annie
Or a valiant steed.
Who flew through the sunset
On wings lined with gold
A knight rescued a princess
I think he was bold
Reading's a time
You can just soak it in
Forget 'bout the world
And start over again.
You may be a child
Or a mage old and bent
Or a wicked old hag
Who lives in a tent
You may be in worlds
Much like our own
Or it could be your world
Is made out of bone
You never know what
You may run into next
If you like to read books
You might even be hext
The cliff hangers they leave you
When you turn the last page
May make you get grumpy
A horrindious rage.
You will have to buy book
Number two of the set
Cause now your book appitite
Has just been whet.
