In the depths of my mind, a battle rages,
A war of delusion versus reality.
I am lost in a maze of my own making,
Confused and disoriented in my mentality.
The delusion sings its siren song,
Promising me a world of perfection.
It tempts me with a life of ease,
A world free of strife and aggression.
But deep down, I know it's not real,
Just a fabrication of my own mind.
A veil that blinds me to the truth,
And leaves me trapped, without a guide.
So I fight with all my might and strength,
Against the demon that seeks to control.
I draw upon my inner warriors,
To reclaim my mind and my soul.
The battle rages on, day and night,
A struggle for my very existence.
But with each victory, I gain ground,
And slowly pull my life back from the distance.
And as the delusion fades away,
And reality comes back to view.
I am left with the scars of the fight,
But also with a sense of renewal.
For I have conquered my own demons,
And come out the other side.
I am stronger, wiser, and more aware,
And ready for life with my new found guise.
