Another day of putting on makeup as she covered up the handprints and bruises
She felt evenmore like a failure to herself, losing identity and feeling useless
For so long it became such a habit to see all of the red, purple, and blue
Always asking herself what she did to deserve this, slowly her spirit tearing away from constant subdue
There came a day when she fell to her knees, for she had lost strength, happiness, and her own self-worth
This angered her to the extreme as she was tired of feeling like such an object, it was time come out, time to unearth
Having lost courage in the past, she gained it back ten times stronger
Coming out, of being surpressed for so long was her bravery and armour
Nomore is she frightened, and will never give the pleasure to anyone seeing her in pain
To those out there who hate themselves, and sadamize others for personal gain
A successor and fighter she became, she is no longer unhappy, broken, or drained
Now having felt the power of sending evil back to hell, she walks in the light, away from the darkness
For she found on her path her deserving Adonis
Feeling around her face, as kisses cover them now instead of wounds
A daily antidote for cleaning up the poison, these marks are different, freeing her mind of disabuse
She now can look at her reflecting image and be proud of who stands in front of the mirror with confidence
Putting the broken pieces of her heart back together, she becomes ready to commence
There will be times in this world when things cloud her head leading her away from the what's true and real
She is aware that there is evil in this world, that can creep in her mind, that doesn't want her to heal
She gets better each and every day, as her perspective of life gets brighter with him by her side
He continues to love her, wipe her face when she cries, holds her in his arms through all the bad times
The tragedies she faced he will forever abide, this time a happy tear, getting down on his knees, asking for her to be his wife.
