In violent visions the horns they call
The tragic turn of man's ignoble fall
For on that day they shall not mourn
The comforts that their lives adorn
Nor shall they grieve for kith and kin
Concerned more with their earthly sin
For wants and needs they shall not crave
Intent on how their souls they'll save
And corporeal idols cannot intercede
Their emotions shamed by worldly greed
The light their vision shall not reach
While men their saviours shall beseech
But no help shall they that day receive
For them there shall be no just reprieve
From men that men have led astray
The burdens heavy on their shoulders lay
No guardian shall their charge console
No charge their guardian shall withhold
The blazing sun will brand and burn the soil
On which man lived and died and toiled
The earth will grind and groan and grumble
To dust, to dust the mountains crumble
And mankind will be humbled
And mankind will be humbled -
