~ Red Bicycle ~

A red bicycle in the basement,
Forgotten and unused,
Gathers dust and cobwebs,
Tucked away and abused.
Once it rode through the streets,
Wind in its spokes and wheels,
But now it sits in darkness,
Neglected and alone.
Its tires were once full of air,
Its handlebars gleaming without a care.
It rode through the streets with grace and speed,
A trusted steed, fulfilling every need.
It was a symbol of freedom and joy,
A loyal companion to a laughing boy.
Perhaps one day it'll ride again,
Through sun and wind and rain,
But for now it sits in silence,
A symbol of what once was gained.
So let the red bicycle rest,
In its quiet, dusty space,
For it still holds our memories,
Of a time and a place.
