Redemption

I prayed fervently
I waited patiently
And the lord inclined unto me
And heard my cry
Though my enemies had try
My mockers had pry
They whispered countless lies
Convicted me for fake crimes
Fake friends Left me without a dime
Now my life taste sour like limes
Attempted suicide countless times
But God favoured me
He brought me out of an horrible pit
Out of the miry clay
He saved me from lucy's snare
Not because I pray
Neither am I a saint
So many times my faith had faint
But he set my feet upon a rock
My foes are in utter shock
The keys to my cell he unlock
I have ignored man's clock
Gods time is the best.
Am a free man, my redemption has come
The lord hath put a new song in my mouth
Songs of victory alone I will chant
All of my blessings I can't count
Hallelujah all day I will shout.
He gave me double for shame
He gave me comfort for pain
He gave me sunshine for rain
Now the storm is over
My redemption has come.
