Weary and wounded
I sat in the place where
We would always meet;
I felt the awe of Your presence
And realized how much I have
Missed you.
Busy doing this and doing that?
Yes, busy spending more time
With others instead of being with
You.
Please forgive me,
Immediately I felt Your rod redirecting
Me, apparently there were some deviations
Along the way.
Wallking disobediently, I said,
" Have bills to pay! "
Redirecting me to the straight and
Narrow way.
Then You whispered in my ear,
" Grow into maturity in Christ Jesus,
And you will have no need of redirecting. "
