When I awoke this morn
The sun, through my curtains,
Was peeking in
I'm glad that I'm well rested
For I've a busy day again,
I've chemo then (what a trip)
Shopping to do (wisely I will)
One to defeat my enemy
The other my larder to fill,
Patience is a waiting game
Upon my calm I must draw
What a beast patience is to tame,
So with headphones on
I watch a rather new movie
The Avengers Captain Marvel
She's, as we used to say, groovy,
So now the fun begins
My patience will tested
By the most Holy above
I refuse to, give in, be bested.
