The weight of rejection is heavy to bear
It's a burden that can feel too much to bear
She turned me away, left me feeling small
And now I am struggling to stand tall
I poured my heart out, revealed my true self
But she looked away, like a book on a shelf
I am depressed, feeling lost and alone
Wondering why my heart has turned to stone
I am an artist, a poet with a pen
But rejection has me questioning who I am again
I thought I had found love, a soulmate for life
But she shattered those dreams with a twist of her knife
Yet, I know that I will find my way
For my art is my refuge, my place to play
I will write about love, about loss, about pain
And my broken heart will fuel my creative flame
I am a poet, with emotions to spare
And though rejection hurts, I know I'll repair
For my words will always be my guide
And through my art, I'll find a way to abide.
