Remember

Salvation in your arms,
That's what I used to call home,
Resting against your bosom,
Pouring out my heart
As tears streamed down my face,
And you gently stroked my back,
Telling me that everything would be fine,
Remember those times?
Long harsh days coming home,
Putting your purse on the hook,
Taking off your shoes,
Resting your feet on my lap
Feeling my hands massage,
As you told me how your day was,
Getting the therapy you needed,
Remember those times?
Because I remember them like they were yesterday,
Wait! It was,
It's important to remember every second,
Every minute of lasting love
It's a blessing to have a connection,
Plus a valuable understanding,
Of the person in which you're engaged,
So a minute ago when we held hands
Is something to remember,
When it signifies a small moment,
Captured within my mind as significant,
It's important to remember.
