Someone told me To write about something positive.
I write what I want and hope you'll be supportive
I will write though about all the good things I remember.
Like back when I felt like I was still a family member.
Things were amazing back in the day.
I believe everyone can say they feel that way.
Like going to your grandparents house.
Sitting in the living room watching Mickey Mouse.
Playing with all of my cousins in the yard.
Picking on the younger ones so the older ones looked hard.
I remember sitting on the porch with my grandmother.
Peeling potatoes, stringing green beans and fixing another.
That's when things were simple and not hard to take in.
Times when u thought you lost your parents let you win.
Man that was the good old days.
Hope my kids remember things like this when they think of how they were raised.
