It all starts with the screams
One after the other
Continuously pounding at our skulls
Never ceasing to remind us of the horrors we partake in
Just make it stop
One more day

Then the smoke starts
That’s when you know you’re reaching the end
It clouds your eyes
It claws at your heart
Unstoppable
It’s just unstoppable
One more day
Please let me live one more day
Please let me be remembered
Before it ends comes the pain
Searing, agonizing, raw
It hurts so much
And I can feel it spreading
The blood
It envelopes me
One more day
I’m begging you, please
Lastly it’s the dark
The cold, and the fear
The fear that you’ll never see them again
It’s sickening
It’s never ending
