When I was a lad of three
I sat upon my Grandpa's knee
The wisdom he taught still echoes in me.
1) This the land of freedom
From sea to shining sea
Brave people fought and died
So we could live free,
2) When you disrespect another
A part of you will die
When a life you take
Angel's in Heaven will cry,
3)When a stranger hates
The flag we proudly fly
You need to stop and think
Then ask yourself why,
4)When you enter into
Another's home
Do you say to them
"I'm offended by that Gnome"?
5)When you walk
Down another's halls
Do you say that you
Dislike the colours of their walls?
6)Whatever put thoughts
Into your head
That you dare say you hate
The softness of their bed?
7)When you disrespect
The way of your hosts home
In a vast field of prickly weeds
You'll come to stand alone,
8)When one is so kind and
Allows you to be their guest
You do not disrespect
Not even in jest,
9) So now as you come here
Being a guest in mine home
Keep still thy foolish tongue
Respect my ways and my Gnome.
