A pet that I will never forget
Was a dog that I was raising
A dog that loved everyone
So wonderful and amazing
The kind of dog that gave
Each and every task his all
Never knew the word quit
Often if he wanted his ball
He loved playing with frisbee
When it was in his jaws
He wanted you to chase him
Running with his giant paws
He had his own blanket
His own bed to sleep
He preferred next to me
When it was time to count sheep
His favourite word was walk
Mention it , he runs to his leash
He had a green harness too
He lifted his legs for it to reach
He knew many different words
Like ball , walk , bath and stay
Another he knew was whisper
I used these every single day
I talked to him like any person
He understood quite a bit
I think if he knew to speak
He would be telling me to sit
I will always remember him
The best dog I've ever had
In the future if I get another one
To have one like him I'd be glad
