My ears hurt now
Not like then when
Our calls would last hours
I remember it
I can remember it right
I eat up the sky in loneliness, little by little,
A friend suggested to write your name on the shoulder
And wear full sleeves that day, it's safe that way,
To know you are there though you aren't
I lie everyday a little, telling myself I don't know you,
But the woman in my backyard catches me praying to god even though i told you i was an atheist.
I like calling myself a lover in poems because otherwise I'm just failing.
There's so much hurting in poets like me, the only reliable way to let it out is "hand"
To love you is the softest thing i can do
To not let you love me is the hardest thing i can do.
Now i dont eat the sky in loneliness
Now i eat the sun in glory.
