Resentment
It’s poison mixed with pride.
A cocktail that pollutes both the heart and mind.
Bitter words behind smiles, promises that were not sincere.
Memories that are nightmares.
The emotion of resentment.
It is suffocating me,
I fall down on my knees and pray that this emotion goes away.
