I realize I must stop, and start,
to share some of the blame.
If from what has fallen apart.
Distance is to be gained.
I sit here, grieving the loss,
Lashing out, self pity I wallow.
But, Equally I bear the cross,
A pill, so hard to swallow.
Are my eyes, really open wide?
Am I innocent of all guilt?
To say no would be a lie,
I too, helped destroy, what was built.
Takes two to make a life,
Takes two to tear it down.
I'm surrounded by a sea of strife,
Looking below, I'm going to drown.
At the mirror, it's now my turn,
This face, looking back at me.
Embarrassment on its cheeks burns,
A fool, is all that I see.
"Many lies have you also told"
"To yourself and others as well"
"Standing there righteous and bold"
"Living in a self induced HELL".
"You pray to God, for relief"
"Being honest, is the first step"
"To repent, will be a reprieve"
"Wasted tears, is what you have wept."
"So dry your face my friend"
"Now look me in the eye",
"It's done, come to an end"
" The truth is how you say, Good-bye".
