"You were selfish, you were cruel;
The fire to my fuming fuel
You spat your hate so I spat mine
Not seeing when I crossed a line
You hurt me, yes I see that
But now I've hurt you back
You'd think through all pain
I could have given you some slack
You'd think I'd be forgiving
Not so quick to judge
You didn't deserve my attention
So I shall not hold a grudge
I couldn't seem to find it in the
Heart I wanted to avenge
To do what's right and to forgive
So I had to get revenge
Look at me now, I'm forced to accept
My own defeat
As I had slowly learnt
That revenge is never sweet
I let you teach me your evil ways
Instead of being strong
I let you currupt me into
Doing what I knew was wrong
I wish I could have seen it before
Through the pain I wanted to avenge
That I could never be in the right
If I had chose revenge.... " - August Kat
A short poem of revenge inspired off a lovely poet buddy of mine hanabitsuki
