Rhumba's Magic Lives On

I miss the beat of Rhumba's drum,
Its rhythm pulsing deep within,
Transporting me to distant lands,
Where joy and sorrow both begin.
The sway of hips and whispered words,
The passion in the singer's voice,
A language that transcends all tongues,
And leaves my heart with little choice.
I long to dance the night away,
To lose myself in sweet embrace,
To feel the music move my soul,
And find within its warm embrace.
The memories of Rhumba's past,
Still linger in my heart and mind,
A time when life was simpler still,
And love was all we hoped to find.
So now I sit and reminisce,
Of Rhumba's sweet and sultry sound,
And though the years have passed us by,
Its magic still has never drowned.
I miss the beat of Rhumba's drum,
But in my heart, it lives on strong,
A melody that will forever play,
And lift my spirit with its song.
