Why must poets believe
That they're the best
Have they taken time
To stand the test?
I'm only as good as
Other's want to believe
Yes, I've written
Thousands of poems
For at a young age I was smitten
Sure people enjoy my
Writes my engaging style
The way I enjoy what I read
To be the best I really don't need.
There are many I enjoy
Like Malward and Pete
Still there's more of you to mention
So slowly poem by poem we'll meet,
To see a new poet rise
From the ashes of their pain
To read their writes
I'll do over and over again,
If you really want to
Be considered the best
Set aside your inflated ego
Give your mind a rest,
Let others say to you
That you're the best.
