why do I wake up and hear
that one of my brothers has died
why do I wake up to hear that another kid has died
why do I even wake up to this bullshit
we got boys and girls dying
we see them cry and don't know why

There child was killed today
they died but no one cares because it is not there kid or there not white enough
we cry

we lie

we speak
they die
it is not even 2020 and we still have deaths
