Rising Concern

In Mark, chapter twelve,
Verses eighteen through twenty- seven,
The Sadducees questioned Jesus,
About marriage aspects in heaven.
They asked a hypothetical question,
In regards to Moses's law,
About a woman bearing no children, widowed from seven brothers, in all.
Each time her current husband died, she'd be the next brother's wife,
Until she died, as well, they asked,
Who's wife would she be when raised to life?
Now, first of all, The Sadducees,
Were trying to catch Jesus in His words,
Like, The Pharisees did before them,
Until Jesus' brilliant response, they heard.
Secondly, The Sadducees didn't even, believe in resurrection (!),
But, in their unbelief,
Still presented Him with this question.
I love Jesus's response when He said,
The scriptures they did not know,
Nor have understanding of God's power,
(I assume He wounded their ego).
Jesus continued by saying,
Didn't the bush God spoke to Moses in,
Say He IS the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
He's not the God of the dead but of the living.
When raised from this life,
There is no marriage there,
He said we are as the angels in heaven,
They were great with err.
We're changed in a twinkling of an eye,
As stated in 1 & 2 Corinthians written by Paul,
Being absent from the body is being present with The Lord,
I'm thankful His grace won't let us fall.
