The best sport I ever played
Was outside in a parking lot
With a few friends from town
Watching them was how I was taught
Most of the time we used a tennis ball
Or a plastic hockey ball a few times
We played for hours almost every day
In the rain too when there was no sunshine
I remember one of my friends good
We would play after midnight often
Just the two of us by the school lights
It was great fun the both of us laughing
We had both women and men join
Kids as young as six or seven years
And some older who were over forty
Everyone hanging out with their peers
Road hockey is great excercise too
Running up and down to either net
Catching your breath is often needed
One activity played I will never regret
