trying to recall something
anything to remind me
that we are not all unused

I sit here while folks scrape
dust off yesterday's leftovers
watch it roll downhill
straight into the carousel
of blue horses they pass
to collect a quarter from
the teenage tweaker
twerking for some creep
who likes rock n roll
and wears shine shoes
on his way to the South
and Vine peep show
to watch rolling daisies
tumble naked with Red
Robin for free
I gotta go man this is
depressing meet me early
tomorrow we will stop
by on our way to recycling
to drink from the drain of
the mad man on the corner
