today is the day
where we can take
all the lessons and learn
by what we made into mistakes
thoughts of how we got this far
who gave you the power
when it needs to be addressed
why it sometimes turn sour
today the hope to see tomorrow
taken so easily from within
but one thing to remember
the feelings return again
so how do we soothe the pain
feelings of a broken heart
do we let go of past thoughts
enabling a new start
sometimes the intervention
comes on like a blocked up vein
give one to get another
then around we go again.
